How far along? 26 Weeks.
Best part of these 2 weeks: My increased drive to be crafty has been fun! And watching my belly move is a best part, though more of a constant source of entertainment than a single "part."
How do I feel? Pretty great, all things considered. I think that the baby has started laying on/kicking my bladder, and that's an odd sensation. I get lightheaded and short of breath a lot, and I start to hear my pulse in my ears as it races at super human speeds. I'm told this is normal, but it's very similar to the symptoms I used to get preceding a panic attack. I have learned to control my anxiety very well over the years, but having these new pregnancy symptoms that mimic the anxiety has been and interesting (yet surmountable) challenge.
Cravings/Aversions: Really nothing. How boring is that? I'd really love some good cravings!
What I miss: Not all that much lately. I miss being able to sleep on my back, but that's so minor. Ooh, and I miss just feeling full. There's a very thin line these days between comfortably full, and feel-like-I-need-to-purge-or-I-might-die full.
What I'm looking forward to: Well, there are very few things I'm not not looking forward to, so I guess... everything? I'm looking forward to seeing Erin, who's in town, and meeting Julie's daughter Annabelle-- who I'm afraid of, but who is super cute. I'm also looking forward to my last week off from work.
Weekly Wisdom: I figured out the pink mystery!! It's all because of a brown skirt I got from Old Navy Maternity. Somehow, it rubs off on everything-- my nails, my clothes, my knitting needles... but it rubs off bring pink. I've experimented with this a few times now, and the skirt is definitely the culprit. So I guess I'm not a freak-of-nature after all. (I suppose this is arguable.)
Baby's Size in Fruit: In response to a special request from Kim, who I adore, this week the baby is the size of a... aww, man... still an eggplant! It seems that I missed the fun weeks of this measurement. From weeks 25-28, he's an eggplant. Judging from my belly he's a bigger eggplant, though. How lame to not change fruits!
