32 Week Update

Holy freakin' cow. Not only is that how I feel and look (to myself) but just holy freakin' cow... 32 weeks. Only 8 weeks until the supposed D-Day. I'm getting more excited for sure, but I'm also beginning to face reality-- and reality and I have never really been good together.

How Far Along? 32 weeks (and once again... holy freakin' cow.)

Best Part of these Two Weeks: I won't lie... this has been a rough 2 weeks. I've had a cold, so sadly, the best part has been getting over that. Oh, also, my wonderful Aunt Stephanie is in town to relieve my mom, so my mom is on vacation in Seattle with her cousin. It's been SUCH a huge relief to know she's with her best friend having a blast and relaxing. That has definitely been the best part.

How Do I Feel? Again, I won't lie-- I'm pretty uncomfortable. However, I also won't complain because A) I will lose friends (becky) and B) I know how fortunate I've been, and I also know karma is a biotch. My back hurts in a spot that massage doesn't seem to help, and I've been having this ridiculously terrible pain in my colon, of all places. (The doctor says it's just my intestines being smushed down and compacted, combined with much slower digestion.) I personally maintain that the baby hates me and is biting. Maybe this is revenge from all the poking I did when he first started to move and I wanted to feel it. :)

Cravings/Aversions? Cereal and milk. Yumm.

What I Miss: Being comfortable in some position. These days I try... but there just is no comfort to be found at times. If the bathtub were big enough, I think I'd like to just float.

What I'm Looking Forward To: I get to see the doctor that I originally saw way back in November before I had any intention of getting pregnant before June (Ha.) I really liked her then, so I am looking forward to seeing her again. I have a ton of questions about labor and delivery for her, and I'm looking forward to getting some answers.

Weekly Wisdom: Kids just never know what to say. One of my first students, now a Senior (gasp!!) moved back to LaFayette from NC this week. Upon seeing me her mouth dropped, her eyes got huge, and she got all excited. Then she said, while pointing at my belly like it was a tumor of some sort "So your husband must be getting.... WAIT--Is that your husband's?!" For the rest of the time she was in our office she just stared at my belly. Eventually I literally had to say "Tasha, hey-- My eyes are up here!"
