...of nerdiness.
And you can make fun of me all you want, but I probably won't be able to hear you doing so over the exclamations of joy that I'm shouting in my mind. Because I
finally finished the sweater I started for Carter way back in February. It's done, and it's freakin' cute!
Of course, now that it's August, it doesn't really fit him, but... that's just a minor detail.
Since it's done and I worked my tail off on it, it was vital (
absolutely vital!!) that I get pictures of the sweater. And really, pictures of the sweater alone just didn't do it justice. So, I decided to stuff my nearly 10 month old child into a 6 month sweater for no other reason than for my own benefit (Well, and yours, because I'll post the supercute pictures below) And, because I was clearly on a selfish streak, I made Grandma do it.
Carter cries when we dress him -- he hates it. But it seems that Grandma can do almost anything to him and he just loves it. So she dutifully stuffed baby into sweater and -- shock of all shocks -- he didn't cry. We then put his fleece pants back on (it was cold this morning) and dragged him out into the 75 degree, sun-shiny day to get some self-serving pictures.
Without further ado, here are the pictures of my masterpiece(s). (Yes, plural -- I made Carter too!)

International man of mystery -- he heard that gazing into the distance makes you seem mysterious.

This is right before he ate those wood chips. Mama was very busy taking pictures :)
|
It's a little small, but it's so cute!
|
He didn't like having the hood up. Guess he wasn't that cold :)

Mama, are we almost done? I've got things to do!

He loves this flag. LOVES it.

This is my proud (smug?) look. I did it!

Trying out Mama's puppy face (that's for you, Becky).

It doesn't look small, it looks fitted!!!! It is great you got it done and that he wore it. Maybe it will be cold again this week and he can wear it again.
Love the puppy face! It is my favorite. I suppose you'll have learned your lesson and make baby clothes a few sizes too big! although a true knitting nerd would have finished it on time!
So stinking cute!!!!!! Every time you talk about your knitting projects, I get inspired to start. Love the cute sweater and all the pictures. You have a very handsome little boy on your hands.
He is too cute! I love the sweater. It is much nicer than the sweaters I used to get from my grandma!
that is a great sweater! i love it! i think it's funny that you made him wear it on a sunny day...i would've done the same thing! fall is right around the corner so maybe he will get a chance to wear it again.
should i be scared about what you are making for annabelle? let's hope it fits! lol:)
